Welders may be exposed daily to numerous occupational hazards which can cause injuries, diseases and death. Health hazards include exposure to fumes, gases and dust products during the welding process. This module is intended to provide participants with an understanding of the hazards associated with welding and what actions to take to eliminate or control these hazards. A variety of topics are addressed including health effects caused by exposure, legislation, assessment of welding hazards, control measures and workplace solutions.
