Transportation of Dangerous Goods

Duration: 3 hours

Key terms used in the Regulations are explained, followed by an explanation of the various roles of consignors, carriers, persons and inspectors.

This material is reviewed with a quiz and two teams. In the second half of the course, participants learn about the requirements for means of containment and for shipping documents. They find out how a consignor classifies dangerous goods and work in groups to complete part of a shipping document. They also learn about emergency response assistance plans, security plans and release reports.
