Level 1 - Ontario Legislation Construction

This module is intended to serve as an introduction to the Act. Its goal is to equip participants with basic knowledge of the construction occupational health and safety legislation, including obligations of the employer, workers’ right to refuse, Worker Trade Committees and Joint Health and Safety Committees, so they know what to do when faced with hazards in the workplace. This module will cover: 1. The Structure of the Law 2. How to Read an Act 3. Duties and Responsibilities of Various Worksite Parties 4. Worker Trade and Joint Health and Safety Committees 5. Work Refusals 6. Work Refusal Procedures.
