DESCRIPTION:The “Building Mental Health in the Construction Workplace” 
 program was developed for delivery to LIUNA members\, apprentices\, office
 rs\, and representatives. This is a four hour\, instructor-led course focu
 sing on awareness and education of mental health in the construction workp
 lace.\n\nThe training aims to provide union members with information about
  mental health\, with a focus on anxiety and depression\, as these are the
  most common mental health conditions.\n\nFollowing the workshop\, you wil
 l:\n· have a greater understanding of the signs and symptoms of depressio
 n and anxiety\n· be confident to approach a worker they may be concerned 
 about and initiate a conversation\n· understand potential mental health r
 isks and protective factors in the workplace and how these may impact work
 ers\n· know what supports and resources are available for workers to be a
 ble to deliver informal ‘toolbox talks’ to workers about mental health
  in the workplace
